Leftists and Islamists under one CBC

by Andres Gallacher

Of course just having a left-wing bias doesn't do it for the CBC.

It comes as no surprise to the vast majority of Canadians that the CBC has a bias as demonstrated by their flawed political compass during election time that conveniently told you that if you were indifferent to every issue then you should vote Liberal. In a sense I can see why the CBC told viewers such a thing - after all the Liberals tend to flip-flop on a variety of issues which makes it hard for the average person to see where they stand.

Of course just having a left-wing bias doesn't do it for the CBC. They have aligned themselves with Islamists and extremists who consistently deny Israel's right to exist. This was best exemplified with Leftist Youth leader George Stroumboulopoulos who glamorized and groveled at the feet of his guest George Galloway. The interview consisted of the two men stroking each other's egos and then Galloway pretending he didn't fund Hamas but tried to help the Palestinian people. Galloway then proceeds to demonize Israel as the sole problem in the Middle East conflict.  One of the biggest errors is making policies based on intention rather than on how they pan out, if Galloway knew this then he would know his money went straight into the hands of terrorists.

George Galloway wasn't enough for the CBC, so during the Shafia murder trials they brought on Alia Hogben from the Canadian Council for Muslim Women. She condemned the term honour killings and believed the term “femicide” should be used; the killing of women just because they are women. In reality Mohammad Shafia with his wife and son killed his daughters because they lived a lifestyle he didn't approve, if it was because they were girls then he would have killed them when they were born. Alia continued to call Canada a “tribal patriarchy society” then stated that honour killings happen in all Canadian communities. She's obviously misinformed because honour killings are a relatively recent phenomenon in the West brought on by immigrants who refuse to assimilate that come from traditionally conservative Islamic countries.

The CBC shows a callous disregard for the integrity of journalism as well as actual substantive facts. During the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the Collectivist Biased Corporation aired a program filled with conspiracies and lies surrounding the event. Each of these inaccuracies have consistently been put down by scholars but the network continued to air it anyways. Fortunately enough for them one of the conspiracies suggested that Israel was behind it with the Mossad. I find it blatantly offensive and disturbing that somehow this state broadcaster is supposed to represent the views of all Canadians. It frightens me as to what type of program they may have planned for Holocaust Education Week.

Time after time the CBC has demonstrated to the Canadian people its incompetency. It pretends to represent the views of Canadians but actually just subtly indoctrinates Canadians who are apolitical and have a blind trust in the channel for reliable news. The CBC has been indulging itself in the taxpayers’ dollars for too long in order to fund its lackluster radio programs, politicized itself so it can have some type of audience to view its programs, and then produces bias reporting under the facade of transparency and accountability. This network represents a small minority of highly politicized Canadians whose entitlement drives them to tell us what to do and what to think. Frankly, this is one authoritarian broadcaster I can do without.
